The property is currently one of the largest private, family-owned estates in Chianti The Estate rises in Val d'Ambra, one of the most attractive places in the Chianti region. This village, that dates back from the XVI century, is the result of a detailed renovation and now awes people that are looking for sublime landscapes and breathtaking views.

The village is constituted by a charming Country House, 11 apartments and a castle, designed by the brilliant architect Gino Copped? (that made the Rome district with the same name) and with frescos by the painter Galileo Chini, author of the throne room of the Bangkok Royal Palace.

The village features the following:

  • The Lupinari Castle
  • A Country House
  • 11 Apartments
  • A Warehouse
  • An Old Farmhouse
  • A Farm
  • The Lakes

The Castello  is a valuable piece of the national architecture and cultural heritage. It was built in the early 1900s, by design of the architect Gino Copped?.

This unique example of Copped?’s work in Tuscany tends to recall the charm of the Middle Ages and style and mannerism of the Gothic era. One of the most successful examples of the architectural style of the end of the nineteenth century.

After the Mackenzie Castle, Gino Copped? repeated his successful formula in a number of Genoese villas. Examples of his style can also be

found in Lugano Villa Cattaneo, Switzerland, where his master-piece was recently sold to a wealthy Danish businessman.

The Country House has four double bedrooms at the first floor, designed in classic style with antique furnitures. Each room includes a private bathroom, LCD satellite Tv, conditioned air, direct phone line and mini-fridge.

The rooms overlook at the charming valley, the castle, the olive grove and the streets of the village, romantics and peculiar views to live a daydream. At the ground floor the large hall with fireplace is a lovely place that in every moment of the day gives relax to the guests of the estate. The Country House has also a bar where one can taste the wines that are locally produced and enjoy a lovely dinner in the ample dining hall.

The hamlet ('borgo') lies behind the castle, and has been completely reconstructed into 11 large and nicely appointed apartments designed for holiday rentals. These apartments guarantee a corner of relax and get lost into the rhythm of countryside. Rebuilt carefully and furnished with age furniture, the apartments have every comfort (cable TV, Telephone, air condition, autonomous heating), they have wide bedrooms with bathroom, spacious living rooms and big terraces with private gardens.

The farm has an area of about 130 ha, with an average altitude of 400 meters above sea level. The agricultural lands are mostly occupied by irrigated crops, in this case olive groves and vineyards.

In the land planted with olive trees there is a system of "embankments" and "terracing" of considerable importance. The physical chemistry of soil fertility, for its characteristics presents itself as favourable for the above mentioned production. The topography of the agricultural land does not create particular problems for primary and secondary working

The two lakes allow for irrigation and through the water supply guarantee quantity and quality of agricultural production.
